Finding African clothing for your little one can some time require some serious searching on google or tracking down an African themed market close to your area. This is especially true if you live in America, Europe and Asia as part of the Diaspora. Ruff 'n' Tumble is Nigeria's leading clothing brand for children and teens. Founder, Adenike Ogunlesi, started the business out her need to make pyjamas for her children. The brand now has 15 branch locations nationwide.

Africa Imports, (USA)

Africa Imports is your mall for all things African. From African fabrics to to African artwork - they've got you covered. Their children's clothing section offers a fun & stylish selection of diashikis, brocade & batik outfits for boys & girls.

Ubuntu Wear, (Netherlands)

Ubuntu Wear is an urban African inspired brand based in Rotterdam, Netherlands. They make some fantastic unisex dutch wax print pants for children. They sell out quite quickly so contact them to know about availability.

Adorably African, USA

Another shop on the Etsy plaftorm, Adorably African is an African children's clothing line based in Washington DC that specialises in print designs. They offer everything from baby wrap slings, dresses, skirts and outfits for toddlers.

Fresh and Different (UK)

Here's a wonderful shop from another friend of the Bino & Fino show Halima. 'Fresh and Different is the home of cross-cultural fashion with a conscious. Established in 2013 it seeks to promote and showcase beautiful world prints by elegantly tailoring and interpreting them into high quality, fashionable yet easy to wear gems, that injects a dash of style and colour into any wardrobe. It is the brain child of London based entrepreneur Halima Hosh. Fresh and Different came from a love of printed textiles and combines them with a special take on London urban chic and elegance. That forms the core aesthetic of Fresh and Different. This also informs the conscious behind the label with its main production line based in the Continent of Africa. Fresh and Different seeks to promote local craftsmanship on a global stage.'

An online shop for Afro-centric clothing that has been in business since 2002. They offer a wide selection of African outfits for mainly adults but do a few cute African inspired outfits for kids too.

Kelechi Fashion, (Netherlands)

Kelechi Fashion is an African clothing retailer based in Zaanstad, Netherlands. Fashion designer and mum, Lara Mulder Anyanwu, designs these very cute African inspired clothing wear and apparel for kids and adults.

Thumb & Pinky ( USA )

Thumb & Pinky is another one that was brought to our attention. It's run by Jane Robinson who is based in Chicago. Here's how she describes her shop on Etsy. 'Thumb & Pinky is ready for Spring and Summer! You'll find African wax print boy's shirts and girl's skirts that can really handle the heat. Be sure and check out the modern and playful Marimekko print vests, girl's tunics, skirts and sundresses. These clothes are perfect for your stylish kid!'
